Chinese tea · yellow and black, nothing between
Yellow and black rings, no third colour, no gradient. Each of the thirty-four teas is placed at the centre of its own target so the leaf is the first thing the eye lands on.

Yellow and black is the pair the eye reads fastest, which is why it ended up on bees, on wasps and on every barrier that means look here. Using only those two removes the usual problem of tea packaging, where six earth tones compete and none of them wins. The rings are concentric so they build a target, and the target puts the leaf at the exact centre of attention instead of in a corner beside a paragraph. Green tea, red tea and dark tea all sit against the same yellow, so the difference between them is carried by the leaf itself and not by a decorative colour scheme. Type is rounded and lowercase to keep the loudness in the geometry rather than in the words. Nothing is shaded or embossed, because a flat mark stays legible at the size of a phone screen and at the size of a shop window.
