Aristide Benoist treats type as matter: letters stretch, drift and follow a flow, and that is the whole logic of this shop. Each design is the name of a tea drawn as if the steam from the bowl had passed through it. Cream paper, black ink and a single red stroke are the only materials, so the leaf keeps every bit of its brown. The pages stay quiet and slow for the same reason: nothing should compete with a line of smoke.
