This is tour-merch grammar: a garment that has already been washed forty times, and a print that cracked along the way. The display letters are drawn narrow with hard spurs so they read from across a room, and the plaster texture is left on top of them rather than cleaned off. Wings, halos and cherubs come from old engravings and act as a frame, which lets the tea sit in the middle as the only photographic object. Bone white and dull gold on black are the only colours, with a single red swipe allowed per layout. Chinese tea takes it well because roasted leaf is already dark, cracked and irregular, so the print texture and the leaf texture agree. The effect is a rock poster that turns out to be about a rock oolong.
