Varsity capitals are condensed and set vertically so the name behaves like a stripe down the edge of a jersey rather than a headline. Palms are engraved, not photographed, which keeps them as scenery instead of a holiday picture. The paper is printed dry and slightly broken, and only one red rule and one banner are allowed per layout, so the page stays a two-colour job.
